Shirewood Shepherd Huts continues a family tradition of carpentry, joinery, property construction and renovation dating back to 1900.
Shirewood pride themselves on the continued use of time served skills mastered by artisans more than a century ago. We believe much of the external and internal detailing of our huts to be unique, from the jointed ends of the oak feather boards for enhanced weather protection, to the hand sculpted shelf brackets and fixtures, or the flush fitted drop down day table, carefully recessed into the underside of the counterbalanced, pull down double bed, freeing up valuable floor and cupboardspace when not in use.

Shepherd huts provide a wonderful off-grid solution. Water can be gas heated, the toilet can be a composting unit, the grey water produced by the shower, basin and kitchen sink can be directed away via a trench arch filtration system and the electricity can be provided by solar energy. However, should you go for more permanent mains facilities, these services can easily be accommodated.
